Michigan-Indiana observations: Offense not OK under O'Korn, special teams shine

ANN ARBOR — Quick thoughts after Michigan's 20-10 win over Indiana on Saturday at Michigan Stadium:

• De'Veon Smith and Michigan's offensive line took the game over when it mattered the most. One week after plenty of Michigan fans questioned why Smith was ever getting carries, the 228-pound senior played like a veteran on Senior Day — setting his career-high with his final run of the third quarter (a 39-yard touchdown scamper, his second of the day).

• Smith does what he always does: He ran his tail off and abused tacklers in the second level.
