After much speculation about the future of his career at the end of this season, Michigan hockey coach Red Berenson announced that he will return to coach this next season at the team’s year-end banquet.
Berenson has been rumored to retire for a while now, and has indicated in the past that this last season or next season would be his final with the Wolverines. He has been with the team for 33 years and is 76 years old.
This past season, Berenson led the team to a 25-8-5 record, going 12-5-3 in the Big Ten.
