Michigan football's Jim Harbaugh lost a 'trusting friend' in top recruiter Chris Partridge

Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh will soon announce the addition of two new defensive assistants to his coaching staff.

The new defensive coaches – one is expected to be former Mississippi State defensive coordinator Bob Shoop – will replace safeties coach Chris Partridge and defensive assistant Anthony Campanile, who left for Ole Miss and the Miami Dolphins, respectively.

“We’ll have some announcements forthwith,” Harbaugh said to media Thursday at a high school coaching clinic banquet in Lansing. “… Very quickly. We’re in good shape.”
