Michigan football’s defensive line underwent some big changes last offseason.
Longtime assistant coach Greg Mattison left to become co-defensive coordinator at Ohio State. Star defensive ends Chase Winovich and Rashan Gary went to the NFL. Dependable veterans Bryan Mone and Lawrence Marshall moved on, too.
All in all, 2019 was a new beginning for the position group.
This fall, Michigan has almost everyone coming back. Shaun Nua will be in his second year as the defensive line coach.
