There are few people in football who understand defensive line play better than Greg Mattison.

First, he has forgotten more football than most have seen, as Michigan football's current defensive line coach has put together a decorated career that's spanned five decades.

Second, he has had some great ones. Mattison helped build U-M's fearsome 1997 unit. His 2006 Florida group, a national championship unit, had athletes and depth everywhere.
