Michigan football running back Christian Turner waited over a year for his first touchdown.
The redshirt freshman scored on a jet sweep in the Wolverines’ Peach Bowl loss against Florida last season — but the play was wiped out by a penalty.
In Saturday’s 52-0 win over Rutgers, Turner scored on a 7-yard run early in the third quarter. This time, the touchdown stood.
“It was cool,” Turner said. “It took some pressure off. I finally got to the end zone and now I just want to get comfortable with it, get comfortable scoring.
