Michigan football's Anthony Campanile reportedly seems to be staying in Ann Arbor

Michigan football assistant coach Anthony Campanile had a couple job offers this offseason.

And it seems like he's chosen to stay in Ann Arbor.

Rutgers, Campanile's alma mater, hired Robb Smith as its defensive coordinator Tuesday morning, which appears to spell the end of their pursuit of Michigan's linebackers coach.

"Campanile is expected to stay with the Wolverines," wrote ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.

Campanile was reportedly the Scarlet Knights' top option, as he was heavily pursued by Greg Schiano after Schiano returned to Piscataway as Rutgers' head coach.
