Michigan football without starting TE Nick Eubanks at Minnesota

Michigan football will be without its starting tight end Saturday night.

Fifth-year senior Nick Eubanks is out for the Wolverines' season opener at Minnesota, a team spokesperson confirmed after Eubanks was not seen during the team's pre-game warmups.

No reason was given for Eubanks' absence.

Eubanks appeared in all 13 games last season, starting 10. He made 25 catches for 243 yards and four touchdowns. This past offseason, Eubanks chose to return for his fifth year rather than declare early for the NFL draft. He was named a team captain this past week.

The Wolverines' other scholarship tight ends include sophomore Erick All and redshirt sophomore Luke Schoonmaker, who both made the trip.
