Michigan Football: Takeaways After Win Over Rutgers

It wasn’t particularly close when Michigan football trounced the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers 49-16, and the game felt like even more of a blowout than the score showed.

Part of that was because a long first half made the game seem like it was taking forever, and since Michigan dominated from the first minute, somehow 49 points seemed low for how long we were watching. When the third quarter ended 46-16 Michigan, I legitimately thought it was over.

Michigan played the game it needed to play. The Wolverines were by no means perfect and gave up some big plays, but not enough for Rutgers to capitalize.
