Michigan football struggles to protect the QB and needs its offensive line to step up

This might sound familiar.

But Michigan football is having trouble protecting the quarterback.

Through three games, the Wolverines have allowed eight sacks – tied for No. 94 in the nation. Quarterback Shea Patterson has been the recipient of all eight sacks, with three resulting in fumbles, and has taken several other hits when dropping back to pass.

"That’s another area, we have got to do a better job of protecting the QB," said Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh.
