Michigan football staffer Fergus Connolly arrested on suspicion of drunk driving

Fergus Connolly, Michigan football's director of performance science/director of operations, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving Monday in Ann Arbor.

The Ann Arbor Police Department confirmed the arrest to the Free Press on Wednesday, adding that charges have not yet been filed in the case. The department is awaiting lab results before passing the case to the county prosecutor. That process could take several weeks.

The news was first reported Tuesday by The Ann Arbor News.

Connolly completed his second year as Michigan's director of performance science at the close of 2017.
