Michigan football secures commitment from three-star Idaho TE Colston Loveland

Michigan football added to its 2022 recruiting class Sunday, reeling in a tight end from Idaho.

Colston Loveland, a three-star prospect in 247Sports' composite rankings, announced his commitment on Twitter.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Loveland, ranked No. 588 in the nation among '22 recruits, had offers from several Power Five programs — most notably SEC strongholds Alabama, LSU and Auburn.

He is the second tight end to deliver a verbal pledge to the Wolverines in this recruiting cycle.

Marlin Klein, a three-star prospect from Germany who plays in Georgia, is the other.

Michigan now has 13 commitments in the '22 class, ranked 12th by 247Sports, with six commiting since June 19.
