Michigan's preseason goals seem farther away than ever.

Following Saturday's 28-21 defeat at No. 7 Penn State, the Wolverines now sit at 5-2 with two conference losses.

U-M's chances of winning the Big Ten title are slim. Even slimmer are the chances of reaching the College Football Playoff. Essentially, the Wolverines' end-of-season goals are out of their hands; they'll need to both win out and hope the teams ahead of them in the standings slip up.
