Michigan football survived, and now they have advanced.
The Wolverines (10-1, 8-0 Big Ten) maintain their spot as fourth in the new Associated Press Top 25, released Sunday afternoon.
U-M defeated Indiana, 31-20, and will now visit rival Ohio State (noon Saturday, Fox) for a spot in the Big Ten championship game against Northwestern on Dec. 1 in Indianapolis.
The Buckeyes also survived, though they needed overtime to beat Maryland, 52-51. They dropped one spot to No. 10.
Michigan State (6-5, 4-4) lost at Nebraska, 9-6, on Saturday and did not get one vote in the AP poll.
