Michigan football recruiting: Offensive tackle Jeffrey Persi commits

Michigan football's big week in recruiting continues.

San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) J Serra Catholic offensive tackle Jeffrey Persi announced his commitment to U-M early Tuesday.

Persi, listed at 6 feet 7, 265 pounds, is a 3-star prospect. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, he is the No. 412 overall recruit, the No. 35 offensive tackle and the No. 36 prospect in California.

He is the latest prospect to commit to Michigan, a result of U-M's big recruiting weekend from June 21-23 — the final weekend before a month-long dead period.

The Wolverines received verbal commitments from 3-star linebacker William Mohan, 3-star defensive end Aaron Lewis, 4-star safety Jordan Morant and 3-star offensive lineman Reece Atteberry on June 23, and running back Gaige Garcia and 3-star athlete Eamonn Dennis committed on June 24.
