Michigan football recruiting has plenty of momentum heading into summer

Seated with his family, Port Huron Northern junior Braiden McGregor announces his college decision Friday, May 24, 2019 in the auditorium at Port Huron Northern High School. Brian Wells, The Times Herald

Braiden McGregor excited the Michigan football coaching staff with one statement.

"I just wanted to tell you guys, I'm a Wolverine, I'm staying home."

In that short 45-second clip posted to Twitter on May 25, McGregor — a 4-star defensive end from Port Huron, Michigan — was shown verbally committing to Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, assistant coaches Sherrone Moore and Shaun Nua and director of recruiting Matt Dudek in Harbaugh's office during a previous visit.
