Calvin Russell took official visits to Oregon, Miami, LSU and Florida State before taking his trip to Ann Arbor the weekend of June 20. It was there that he bonded with potential future teammate and true freshman phenom, Bryce Underwood. He also got to build up his relationship with position coach Ron Bellamy, head coach Sherrone Moore, and even Dusty May, who has known Russell for a few years having recruited him on the hardwood while at Florida Atlantic.
