We were on a bit of a quarterback depth roller-coaster last year at this time. Going into Michigan football’s spring game many of us believed the hype around John O’Korn (raises hand sheepishly), and then after the spring game most of us believed Speight was the guy (not me, was still unconvinced).
Fast forward to the beginning of the season. I felt there were good points and bad points with Speight. In the UCF game early on when he found a full back in the flat near the opposing goal line while under heavy pressure, I was very much of the mind that he could overcome his weaknesses and be a good, if not great, starting quarterback for the Wolverines.
