Michigan football fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Saturday’s dismantling of the Oregon State Beavers. After an ugly showing in Salt Lake City to open the season, the Wolverines beat the Beavers 35-7.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing, though: OSU scored on a two-minute, 80-yard touchdown drive to open the game, which was followed by a Jake Rudock fumble that Oregon State recovered.
The opening sequence was not pretty. After a first quarter that mercifully saw it only trailing 7-3, Michigan woke up and surrendered only two yards the rest of the game.
