Michigan football notes: QB Dylan McCaffrey plays again, throws TD

ANN ARBOR -- It was only one drive, but one Dylan McCaffrey likely won't soon forget.

The redshirt freshman quarterback found himself in his second game in as many weeks Saturday, leading Michigan down the field for a 44-yard touchdown drive in its 49-3 blowout win over Western Michigan.

McCaffrey, who had to relieve a cramping Shea Patterson last week in the season opener against Notre Dame, capped the drive with an 18-yard touchdown pass to walk-on receiver Jake McCurry.

"He's got a real coolness about him when he's out there playing," Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said Saturday.
