Perhaps the first defining moment of Junior Colson's football career came during his freshman year at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee.
At the time, Colson was already a big-bodied receiver who moved well for his size.
His coach, Matt Daniels, noticed those physical attributes and had a thought: What if Colson played defense? Ravenwood was going to need help at linebacker the following season, and Colson had the athleticism and frame to be a star.
