Michigan had 48 football players land on the All-Big Ten academic team for the fall semester.
More than any team in the league.
The athletic department had a record 122 student-athletes make the cut in all sports. To be a member of the All-Big Ten academic team, players must be in at least their second academic year and must maintain a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
As far as starters go, Michigan had five members of its starting defense on the list: Linebacker Devin Bush, linebacker Noah Furbush, defensive end Rashan Gary, defensive tackle Maurice Hurst and defensive tackle Bryan Mone.
