Jim Harbaugh doesn’t really play it safe. It’s not really his style and that’s part of the reason why I find it hard to believe he will go with the safe choice when it comes to the starting quarterback of the Michigan football team in 2016.
After all, if he was making the safe choice last offseason, it probably would have been Shane Morris, not a graduate transfer that didn’t learn the offense until fall camp.
But Harbauhgh bet on Jake Rudock, even after the awful Utah game and in the end, it paid off. This year, Harbaugh will need to make another difficult decision and while neither quarterback would be bad, the decision that needs to be made, seems to me, fairly obvious.
