The play looked as if it might have been designed for Sean McKeon.

Facing first-and-10 at Michigan State's 38 in the third quarter of Saturday's 44-10 win, Michigan football's offense called a trick play: A double pass that featured Dylan McCaffrey lining up at quarterback and flipping the ball back to Shea Patterson, who lined up at receiver.

In real time, it seemed as if the Wolverines were looking for a big play downfield to McKeon, who ran a deep crossing route.
