The brother of Michigan football running back Ben VanSumeren announced on social media on Monday that he was committing to play for the Wolverines.
Alex, a 6-foot-3, 270-pound sophomore at Essexville Garber, just northeast of Bay City, becomes the first commit for the class of 2022.
