If you follow Michigan football recruiting closely it won’t come as a surprise that last weekend was an important one for the Wolverines as a number of important targets were in Ann Arbor.
It’s part of a full shift towards the 2021 class that’s been underway. One player that already belongs to that class is five-star quarterback J.J. McCarthy. People keep talking about how Michigan needs to find an elite quarterback and McCarthy, the No. 2 QB in 2021, could be it.
McCarthy has been an active recruiter for the Wolverines and it seems like his efforts, along with that of the coaching staff is starting to pay off in a big way with four-star running back Donovan Edwards, an in-state running back that’s No 2 in the 247 composite rankings.
