A while back, J.J. McCarthy reached out to Junior Colson with some big news.
McCarthy's IMG Academy, perhaps the best high school football team in the country out of Bradenton, Florida, would play Colson and Ravenwood High School. It meant McCarthy and Colson, two of the top-ranked commitments in Michigan football's 2021 recruiting class, would meet on the field before they teamed up in college.
"I was like, ‘You sure? You sure?’ " Colson recalled. "He said, ‘Yeah.’"

The news became official last week: Ravenwood, based in Brentwood, Tennessee, will host IMG Academy on Sept.
