Michigan basketball's Juwan Howard reportedly 'not interested' in discussing NBA jobs

At least one NBA team was interested in Juwan Howard.

But that interest doesn't appear to be reciprocated.

Michigan basketball's head coach has turned down discussions about any NBA head coaching jobs, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

"Sources: Michigan's Juwan Howard continues to tell NBA teams he's not interested in even a discussion on leaving Ann Arbor," Wojnarowski tweeted on Thursday afternoon.

The report comes six days after Wojnarowski included Howard among a list of candidates to be considered by the Portland Trailblazers for their head coach opening.

Howard, 48, is coming off his second season as Michigan's head coach after being hired in 2019 following John Beilein's departure for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
