When it's working, you'll know.

Because Jordan Poole will tell you about it.

Michigan basketball's loquacious two-guard wasted zero time letting folks know who he was a year ago. After a barrage of 3-pointers off the bench during a regular-season game as a freshman, Poole promptly dubbed himself The Microwave.

"Shoutout to Vinnie Johnson," he exclaimed afterward.

And when Poole's now iconic buzzer-beater fell through the bottom of the net against Houston last spring, sending Michigan to the NCAA tournament, Poole held court in a celebratory postgame locker room with reporters.
