Michigan Basketball: Talent, experience earns 19th ranking in AP Poll

The Michigan basketball team has accomplished a lot over the past couple of seasons. Most notably, the Wolverines played in the National Championship Game last April, making their second trip to the title game and the Final Four since 2013.

However, Michigan basketball has achieved a lot more than that the past two years. The Wolverines are the two-time winners of the Big Ten Tournament Championship and have made the Sweet 16 two years running.

And despite losing some key players from last year’s team, such as Moe Wagner, Duncan Robinson and Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman, John Beilein and the Wolverines are set for another big season and the voters of the AP Poll agreed with that Monday, ranking UM 19th in its preseason poll.
