LINCOLN, Neb. — Michigan and Nebraska honored Kobe Bryant at the start of Tuesday night's basketball game.
After a 24-second period of silence before the national anthem, the Wolverines won the tip and willingly took a 10-second backcourt violation. Then, Nebraska dribbled out the 30-second shot clock.
The clock violations were in honor of Bryant and were similar to the 24-second shot clock and 8-second backcourt violations happening in the NBA since Bryant, 41, his daughter Gianna, 13, and seven others died in a helicopter crash on Sunday.
