Michigan basketball holds off Northwestern to get back on track in Big Ten play

Ann Arbor — Kobe Bufkin scored 20 points and freshman Dug McDaniel added 17 as Michigan snapped a short-lived two-game losing steak in Big Ten play with a 85-78 victory over Northwestern on Sunday at Crisler Center.

Michigan improves to 10-7 overall, 4-2 in the Big Ten, bouncing back from road losses to Michigan State and Iowa. Northwestern is 12-5, 3-3.
