Michigan basketball has hired Juwan Howard the job to replace John Beilein as the program's next head coach, the Free Press reported Wednesday.
And while negotiations are still ongoing, the thought of Howard's return creates plenty of intrigue for a program that just lost its all-time winningest coach to the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers.
Howard has never been a head coach, nor has he coached college basketball in any capacity. Still, his return would create a bridge to one of the most scrutinized and productive eras in the Wolverines' history.
