Michigan basketball coach Juwan Howard has filled out the rest of his staff — and there are several familiar faces returning to Ann Arbor.
Monday afternoon, U-M announced the hiring of Jay Smith as the director of player personnel and development, Chris Hunter as the director of basketball operations, David Metzendorf as the video analyst and Jaaron Simmons as the graduate manager.
All four have significant ties to the program — most of all Smith, an assistant coach at Michigan from 1989-1996 and a member of the staff during Howard's U-M career.
