Austin Davis and his family entered this week with the expectation that Thursday's game would be his senior night.
Davis, a redshirt junior who is a senior in academic standing, figured he would be honored alongside point guard Zavier Simpson and center Jon Teske before and after Michigan basketball's final home game of the season against Nebraska.
Then coach Juwan Howard pulled Davis aside for a one-on-one conversation before Tuesday's practice. He told Davis that — if he wanted — he could return to Michigan for a fifth year.
