Michigan basketball believes it is in good shape with its top remaining target on the recruiting trail.

A source with knowledge of the situation who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the Wolverines are "cautiously optimistic" about five-star guard Josh Christopher.

Christopher, the No. 10 player in the 2020 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, is one of the highest-ranked uncommitted prospects.

He has been a top target for the Wolverines ever since Juwan Howard took over as head coach this past spring.
