With football season hitting the stretch run and hoops all just getting underway, it would have been easy to overlook the start of the early signing period but for Michigan basketball, it was an important day.
The Wolverines got a signature from Zeb Jackson, the four-star point guard who stayed committed after John Beilein went to the NBA. Yet, despite some conflicting reports, five-star Isaiah Todd did not sign with Michigan basketball.
Orion Sang of the Detroit Free Press reported earlier in the week on Twitter that Todd was expected to sign during the early signing period, only to see USA Today report Wednesday that was he going to wait until the April signing period.
