Michigan Basketball: 3 Wolverines who need to step up in 2019-20

Believe it or not, the start of the Michigan basketball season is just five days away as the Wolverines will open up next Tuesday against App State.

It will be the first game under head coach Juwan Howard and after losing players like Ignas Brazdeikis, Charles Matthews and Jordan Poole, Michigan basketball comes in unranked, although many expect the Wolverines to be a viable NCAA tournament contender.

A big reason for that is the return of Zavier Simpson, who is an elite defender, a great point guard and a who has improved offensively since his arrival in Ann Arbor.
