Michigan Basketball: 3 things you should know about Texas Tech

During the first weekend of the NCAA tournament, Michigan basketball wasn’t really pushed or tested but that’s going to change Thursday night in Anaheim.

That’s because Michigan basketball will take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Sweet 16 and it will be a huge step up in competition.

Heading into their matchup, the Wolverines are ranked by Kenpom as the fifth-best team in college basketball and Texas Tech is No. 7 and is the highest-rated of all the No. 3 seeds in the tournament.

A big reason for that is their defense which ranks first in defensive efficiency, just ahead of Michigan basketball which is currently second in that category and second in points allowed overall.
