Michigan Baseball: Wolverines Drop Regional Opener To FGSU

As the last team into this year’s NCAA tournament, Michigan baseball had something to prove in the Chapel Hill, North Carolina, regional as the No. 3 seed.

Despite that, the Wolverines dropped their opener to Florida Gulf Coast, 10-6.

The game started promising enough with a 3-0 lead heading into the bottom of the 3rd. The Eagles kept chipping away the lead, however, and they opened the flood gates in the bottom of the 6th with five runs.

All five runs came with two outs, and Michigan was never able to recover from the deficit.
