Ann Arbor — Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel, after presenting the projected 2024 athletics budget to the University of Michigan Regents on Thursday, spoke with two reporters and said there is no update on the NCAA investigation Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh and the program.
Harbaugh faces a Level I NCAA violation, the most serious, as laid out in a draft of an NCAA Notice of Allegations that Michigan received in January. Harbaugh allegedly lied to and misled NCAA investigators who were looking into recruiting violations in 2021 during an extended recruiting dead period because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
