ANN ARBOR -- Friday-Saturday home series haven't been good for Michigan hockey this season.
In four such opportunities, the team opened the weekend with a win on Friday only to lose or tie the same opponent a day later. It happened against Robert Morris, Dartmouth, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
In fact, Michigan out-scored its opponents 26-10 in those Friday games, only to fall short in the scoring column, 14-9, the following days.
That pattern came to an end this week as Michigan downed Michigan State 6-3 on Saturday following a 9-2 win Friday to improve to 13-3-3 overall.
