Men's basketball among 19 Michigan teams that earn perfect academic progress scores

ANN ARBOR -- The University of Michigan men's basketball team was among 19 athletic programs to net a perfect score in the NCAA's latest Academic Progress Rate data released Wednesday.

John Beilein's team posted a perfect 1,000 for the 2016-17 academic year, boosting the Michigan men's basketball team's rolling four-year average to 995.

Eight Michigan athletic programs posted a perfect multi-year APR score: baseball, women's basketball, women's cross country, women's golf, men's gymnastics, men's tennis, women's tennis and softball.

All eight posted perfect scores in 2016-17, as did the men's cross country, field hockey, ice hockey, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's soccer, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and diving and women's volleyball teams.
