Michigan’s defensive line next season will have a number of new contributors on it, but the Wolverines received good news on Wednesday afternoon, with defensive tackle Maurice Hurst Jr. announcing his plan to return for one last season.
“I decided I’m going to come back for my fifth year next year, start my master’s degree and play another year of football,” Hurst said. “Just after thinking it through with my family, talking to Coach [Jim] Harbaugh and Coach [Greg] Mattison, I kind of just figured out that that’s what I wanted to do. Come back and improve on some things.
