Looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season, the Wolverines nearly needed extra time to get past Minnesota Tuesday evening, defeating the Golden Gophers 59-57 on a last second shot from Charles Matthews.
Going through periods of offensive drought, Michigan struggled out of the gate, surging late in the first half on a Jon Teske led comeback run. The Wolverines pulled ahead by as many as 13 points after the break, but once again fell silent offensively in the waning minutes.
Michigan failed to score a point for 4:50, giving up a 10-0 runs that lasted up to the final second.
