Best first-round matchup: There were legitimate questions about whether Michigan should even be in the NCAA Tournament this season, much less as a No. 11 seed that gets to avoid Dayton. But statistically, the Wolverines and their opponent in Colorado State are basically mirror images: Both top-20 offensive teams, both outside the top 80 on defense, both play at a deliberate pace. That should leave us with a competitive game featuring a lot of offense and shooting, even if the defense is shaky. Colorado State plays small most of the time, so it will be interesting to see if the Rams have a decent matchup for center Hunter Dickinson (18.
