Johnson puts Wolverines on the board
The run game for Michigan looked better than it did at perhaps any point this season, as De'Veon Smith and Drake Johnson pounded through the Florida defense, capping off the drive with 4-yard Johnson touchdown.
The Wolverines piled up 55 yards on the ground on the 73-yard drive, and they've announced their intent on this day against what is supposed to be the strength of this Gators team.
It's 7-0 with 5:54 to play in the 1st quarter.
Gators fake field goal fails
It was a little interesting that Florida won the toss and decided to receive in a game featuring two stellar defenses, but the Gators usually porous offense was able to drive down to the Michigan 20 before trying a fake field goal that failed miserably.
