Derrick Walton Jr. had 22 points for Michigan (24-11), while D.J. Wilson had 17 and Zak Irvin had 15.
"We came through a lot and had a lot of trials and tribulations," Walton said in a postgame interview on CBS.
Bronson Koenig had 15 points for the Badgers (25-9), while Ethan Happ and Nigel Hayes had 14 points and 11 rebounds each.
