Alex Kile
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- This wasn't going to be a night for flashy goals. The Michigan-Minnesota showdown for first place in the Big Ten Conference ice hockey standings was going to be about grinding to score, and that's where University of Michigan junior right wing Alex Kile raised his hand.
Kile fit the job description to perfection and responded with his first college hat trick to spark a 6-2 win Thursday night (Feb. 25) for the No. 6 Wolverines, who moved two points ahead of the Golden Gophers and into the conference lead.
