PLYMOUTH, Mich. -- Five years have passed since Brock Mealer won your heart by conquering great odds to walk again. He was given a "one percent" chance of ever doing so after a Christmas Eve collision on an icy road left him paralyzed from the waist down. His brother, Elliott, a football offensive lineman headed for Michigan, tore up a shoulder trying to yank the window out of their SUV's door to free Brock that night.
